В статье на примере древнего Хорезма рассмотрены вопросы динамики практических знаний, а также развития хорезмской письменности. Её актуальностью, обусловлена недостаточно полной изученностью, что вызывает необходимость анализа проблемы развития практических знаний и научных основ в Хорезмском оазисе в доисламский период. Представлена характеристика значения содержания археологических источников для изучения формирования астрономии, геометрии, математики, существования конкретных представлений применительно к системе этих наук в Хорезме в античный период и раннем средневековье. В статье на основе новых подходов раскрывается значение древнехорезмийской письменности в изучение системы государственности, социально-экономических отношений и духовной культуры.
