This article considers the problem of directing students to self-motivation and self-activation in the process of medical education. The paper presents the features associated with the development of motivation and activity among medical students. Methods and technologies are described that help students develop their self-motivation and self activation, as well as improve the level of learning. The article presents the results of a study that showed that the use of active teaching methods, including role-playing games, case studies, simulations and webinars, contributes to the development of motivation and activity among medical students. This process requires the development of innovative, literate and competitive personnel who have thoroughly mastered foreign languages, the quality of the system of learning foreign languages, especially English, in non-foreign language higher education institutions. Examples of higher education institutions in the Republic of Uzbekistan, which train specialists in the field of medicine, are the Tashkent Medical Academy, Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, Tashkent Dental Institute, Bukhara State Medical Institute and others. In all of them, English, German and French are taught comprehensively from foreign languages. Teaching is aimed to allow the language learners to practice developing skills. In our case it is vocabulary development. In incidental learning, the situations are chosen by language learners. This means that the language learners initiate the interaction by requesting the participation of a teacher. Most often, incidental learning is used in the study of foreign languages, and is considered here in this context. The learner’s request can be verbal or non-verbal: for example, he can reach for an object that is out of reach, damage his clothes, cry, call an a teacher by name, ask for a toy, food or information. This study demonstrated the effectiveness of the incidental learning approach.
Обучение английскому медицинских специалистов в вузах Узбекистана требует реализации ряда задач, таких как улучшение методики изучения, совершенствование методологии интеграции в специальность и взаимосвязи между предметами. Студентам медицинских вузов важно овладеть языковыми навыками в области своей профессии. В связи с сокращением фундаментальных предметов в медицинских университетах Узбекистана, возникает необходимость пересмотра методику преподавания иностранных языков, особенно в последние годы, так как в ходе модернизации высшего медицинского образования произошло резкое сокращение фундаментальных предметов, включая предмет иностранных языков. Из-за значительно сокращенных часов обучения возникла необходимость внедрения действенных и результативных методов преподавания английского языка в сжатые сроки. Важно создание интегративных моделей преподавания языка в медицинской профессии (ESP). Также создание особой профессиональной среды для изучения языка имеет свои преимущества в преподавании английского языка.
