DYSTOPIA IN LITERATURE OF THE 20TH – 21ST CENTURIES
Dystopia as a literary genre of the 20th and 21st centuries reflects the anxieties and fears of society about the possible consequences of social, political and technological changes. At the center of dystopian literature is the image of a dark, often authoritarian or technocratic future, where human rights and freedoms are under threat. These works are intended to warn readers about the possible risks of losing moral and spiritual values, dehumanizing society, destroying nature and strengthening control over the individual. In 20th century literature, prominent representatives of the genre are George Orwell with his novel "1984", Aldous Huxley with "Brave New World" and Ray Bradbury with "Fahrenheit 451". These works explore such themes as totalitarianism, suppression of individuality and the dangers of excessive dependence on technology. In the 21st century, dystopia continues to develop, reflecting new challenges of the time. Authors such as Suzanne Collins' "The Hunger Games" and Margaret Atwood's "The Handmaid's Tale" raise issues of social injustice, gender inequality, environmental disaster and manipulation of mass consciousness. The article analyzes the origins of the dystopian genre in Russian literature of the 20th century, the influence of the socialist system on the formation of this trend, as well as its final formation in R. Bradbury's novel "Fahrenheit 451". Particular attention is paid to dystopian motifs such as the standardization of life, the strengthening of consumer sentiments and the dominance of hedonistic values.

This article examines the concept of "Tragic America" as depicted in Oates’s works, focusing on her critique of the American Dream, the pervasive presence of violence, and the marginalization of vulnerable groups. This article compares and studies the differences in the morphological and grammatical structure of the French and Uzbek languages. First of all, the methods of word formation in both languages are analyzed: in Uzbek, the importance of word formation through additions, and in French, the change of stems and the formation of new meanings with the help of prefixes and suffixes. Then the system of verbs, the peculiarities of their division into tenses and their use, including the semantic and functional differences of the passé composé and imparfait tenses in the French language, are compared with the simple and understandable tense forms in the Uzbek language. Our analysis allowed us to conclude that the methodological training of biology students as an object of pedagogical research should include various aspects of the vocational training system. AIR POLLUTION IN TOSHKENT CITY OVER THE LAST DECADE
Toshkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, has experienced significant air pollution challenges over the past decade due to rapid urbanization, industrial growth, and increased vehicular emissions. This study examines the trends in air quality from 2013 to 2023, focusing on key pollutants such as particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and carbon monoxide (CO). Data were collected from government reports, satellite observations, and ground-based monitoring stations. The results indicate a consistent rise in pollutant levels, particularly during winter months, driven by coal combustion for heating and outdated transportation systems. This paper highlights the urgent need for policy interventions, public awareness campaigns, and sustainable urban planning to mitigate the adverse health and environmental impacts of air pollution in Toshkent.
